Somebody re-did the griptape to their own design, keeping the top sticker with the middle part of the stock black griptape & added red sections.
This stuff isn't rocket science. You need to look at the deck design, not the griptape. At the 2 skate shops I managed in the 70's here in San Diego, we did a lot of red & black custom griptape jobs. Those were the 2 common griptape colors available.
If you saw a Ford Mustang painted a non-stock color, would that not still be a Mustang? Griptape is like special paint or custom colors on a car, it doesn't change the basic deck.
I looked at a poster I have signed by Stacey Peralta & that signature isn't his.

Perhaps the PEP Boys, Manny, Moe & Jack. More likely than Jay Adams, who you wouldn't expect to sign a deck from down south company G&S.
You obviously know nothing about 70's skate culture or decks.
