2 winters, in British Columbia. It's still fast as hell and other than some rust, looks like it did when we put it down. Way cheaper than all those " ramp surfaces" and I think it's way nicer to skate.
I have no idea why anyone would put down any other riding surface than steel. Control slides, fast as hell, zero maintenance
Did you let it rust up before you painted it? Apparently the best way to do it.
Skatelite lasts but there is no cheap when it comes to it. |

It's still raw. The rust is still coming off from this winter... Mostly onto me when I fall:(
Not sure if we'll paint it or not. I'm happy with it raw, others want to paint it. |

I would like to see a close-up photo mainly because I'm curious if the screws dent the sheet metal. Which leads to my next question. 1/16inch is roughly 1.5mm, and I would assume that's thick enough to resist impacts, but still, are there any indents on the surface of that ramp, like from slams? |

| Expensive as hell. But skatelite lasts. I'm on season 6, gave up on the tarp in season 2, winds tore it to shreds. |

Did you use pressure treated ply for the sub-surface? |

| Nope. Pressure treated framing, 2 1/2" layers of ply underneath, hit with thompsons. Seams are a little rippled now, but still very rideable. |

| i know folks who have had success keeping an eye on CL for used skatelite. If you go the tarp route, a little sweet talking can get you used vinyl billboards from the places that print/hang them... mostly likely for free. |

I need to correct that post I made. We used 14 gauge steel. More like2-3mm.
We countersunk the screws so there is no dimples at the screws. The steel doesn't show any dents from slams. We have had bikes dumped on it and shows no sign of damage. |

| I think we are going on season 6 with skatelite and it still looks pretty much the same except for the color fading. we had all different colors, and they all look the same now.Don't cover it in the winter, and it ends up with a few feet of snow on it. |
