Do you think skaters want to be lumped in with bmx, scooters, dancers, 'artists'?

We don't.

That's why we build skate parks.

Not bmx parks.

Not scooter parks.

Not dance parks, and certainly not art parks.

This isn't a zoo. Those other types need to build their own facilities.

Ever wonder why football players, baseball players, soccer players, etc don't play all their games together on the same field at the same time?

It doesn't work!!!

End of story!!!!

Thanks for the reply and your well wishes.
I honestly thought people would be more receptive to the idea of another skate park. In our area Unit3sixty is big news, yet the world seems full of doubters. I believe this is as a result of false promises of various park ideas over the years. They build you up and let you down over and over until you give up all hope.

What Gav and i are doing (Gavs the MD) is providing much more than just a skate park for our local bored out of their brains teenagers.

We are an Urban Recreation Center. The first of its kind here.
Our premises allow for our main feature and revenue stream which will be the skate park, but we also have two story office space the width of two factory units. This is where we will utilize the other activities such as the Breakdance Academy, Graffiti Studios & DJ Schools.
Yet all we hear is 'we just wanna skate park'.

Todays business society requires multiple revenue streams and we are doing just that but still retaining the core of the business by allowing it maximum floor coverage within our premise. We will keep everyone happy and the various other activities will not encroach on one another.

We have just received the full backing of the local authorities too who want Unit3sixty to become a main feature of the areas leisure/tourism industry. Its fresh, exciting and just what the kids need to keep them all out of trouble.

We will be providing apprenticeships in ramp building/maintenance.
Offering people who are struggling to get back into work a chance to get their lives back on track by working closely with employment services. Giving disadvantaged kids the opportunity to use free equipment such as skateboards and bikes donated by the local police force from their stolen recovered gear. Working with public sector education officers to offer the kids free advice and people to talk to and on and on and on.

Sorry if i bored you there but i just wanted to highlight the GOOD that Unit3sixty will bring to Stourbridge here in the UK.

To be completely honest we haven't heard a single negative until i came to this forum so i was shocked.
This was probably down to the way i wrote the post though wasn't it?

Everyone assumes you are amateurs and you will do things wrong but we have put everything in place to ensure that doesn't happen
(well as much as we can) we are working really closely with professional skaters and bmx'ers who are submitting their own plans to us aswell as their creative ideas for all things new.

We may not be able to speak all the speak....yet lol
But we are getting there and plan to last the distance.
Our public consultations will allow everyone to get involved and it creates a great community spirit locally to get them all involved.

The local news/media have all been positive and best of all is that we are doing it for the right reasons not to become fat cats creaming all the profits. Our CIC status (Community Interest Company) or social enterprise requires us to pump 51% of all profits back into the skate park and this will provide longevity and the ability to constantly update the park with new features benefiting the end user...!

I appreciate that you yourself can see through the cloud that seems to shroud the majority of doubters imaginations. Unit3sixty IS going to be successful and we have an incredible team of professionals behind the scenes who will make that happen.

All we ask is for your support with our project and if ever you are over here in the UK look us up and we'll cater for your every need

Rich

Way to avoid answering questions.

What are "huge ramps built specifically for BMX"?

What the fuck are "endless rhythm sections"?
