Then, wash it all down with a big glass of Avalon organic chocolate milk.

Yukk!!!

I´d prefer less fart material on it, that means I let out the onions in that combination, or my ass goes volcanoe on the ceramic.

Man, it's been WAY too long since I've had a chili dog!

All I need is some good chili with some diced onions on top.

Crazy- I thought chili dogs were invented in '84. Isn't that beyond you're timeframe of attention?

No, I collected chili dogs all the way through '89.

I skipped the 90s though. Those chili dogs were weak.

What TGM said, but the dog needs to be one of those skinny red ones. No beans chili, slaw, onions, and yellow mustard. The church down the street has 'em the first Wenesday of every month. We get six. In the south, NC at least, hamburgers ordered "all the way" include the same condiments. They are good as well.

The chili my ol' lady just made is the chunky variety with mushrooms, kidney beans, chunky cut onions ect. Not very chili dog friendly but I'm using it anyway. I've been thinking about these damn chili dogs all week so I don't care about the texture.

Anyone got a good southern style slaw recipie?

no bean chili, topped with crumbled bacon, cheddar cheese, then mix some sierra nevada mustard with sour cream and diced chives, drizzle on top. wash down with a big cold beer, repeat.

I keep it somewhat simple.

All beef hot dog is mandatory.
Something good too. Nathans / Hebrew / LDS

Soft bun (you wouldn't believe how a hard bun can wreck a hot dog)

Chili can be either bean, or no bean (I prefer no bean myself)

topped off with diced onions, and cheddar cheese

Sonic drive in makes a decent enough substitute, when I'm on the go & can't make my own. It's called the coney island chili dog or something like that.

Good topic...Ya have to love a chili dog..It's the law
