I recently heard a comedian rant about chicken wings at Chinese Restaurants, and how they had too many bones to be chicken wings and were most likely cat legs. The more I thought about it, the more it seemed true.

I didn't like that Hell's Kitchen show, but Kitchen Nightmares is pretty good, tho it does have alot of staged/overacted stuff. Last night there was a good show with a Mexican restaurant, fuckin nasty food and roaches all over the place. Disgustingly good entertainment. It made me wonder how many mex restaurants I've been in that had similar kitchens. |

I like the Ramsey BBC show.....sooooooo fucking much better than Kitchen Nightmares. What I really fucking hate is how our American version (Kitchen Nightmares) is so skewed to the American audiences "love" of conflict and showing people at their worst, and they really try to show Ramsey as some hardass, asshole. They really do "pump it up" for the American show.
The BBC one is so much better and different. You get to see the same "hey this place really sucks and needs help" BUT you get to see Ramsey help them change AND more importantly, unlike the American version, he comes back a few months later and shows what has happened since. Also, you really get to see that Ramsey might in fact be a hardass BUT it is because he has such a passion and respect for what he does....he wants top quality in every aspect and "customer first" pride. |

i can happily say that whilst on site at heathrow t5 during its development i saw mr ramsey, and quickly pulled out my mobile to play, very loudly, 'gordon is a moron' by jilted john as he walked past (sure some of you on here will have heard this song before..if not... say hello to google)
the look on his face when he heard it was a true kodak moment, but then he started laughing and came over to talk to me, whilst several BAA staff just shat bricks in fear over what i had just done in fear of offending him.
he was actually a fairly nice guy to talk to. |

My wife likes the English ones and watches them often. The US ones she found awful; dramatic music, staged interviews, weird edits and worst of all those ad breaks! I don't know how you guys put up with that: 5 minutes of content, ad break, 30 second re-cap, 5 minutes of content, ad break, 30 second re-cap... |
