Ok...bear with me.....for some of you "foodies" and plain ol' gluttons, this might not be new.....to be, it was an amazing discovery! Today for lunch, the guys I work with here in Phoenix took me to NYPD (New York Pizza Department). Everyone was getting slices, so I decided "what the hey....I'm game". They pointed me to the house speciality..... I got a "lasagna pizza"....yep, sounded odd to me.....first off, it's well known I don't typically eat red meat....second, I rarely eat lasagna...like once every 3 yrs and it is usually veggie/spinach lasagna (yes, bring on the "spinach lasagna is like fake guacamole" comments). Anyways....I decided to give it a go....anyways, "what made it lasagna pizza?"....well, it had that "lasagna cheese" all over it....the fluffy, creamy cheese with spices in it (ricotta?) and it was covered with meatballs sliced paper thin like pepperonis.....and then I think some pasta even......anyways, it was friggin AWESOME!!!! I coulda ate a whole pie easily if I didn't know it would damn near kill me. I highly suggest it to anyone who hasn't tried it out.....find one near you today!!!! As of today....I have a new favorite pizza. |

Sounds interesting. We just happen to make some pizza dough at work today.
I do love a perogi pizza though. Sour cream, thin sliced potato and onion ( sometimes bacon) and a swiss/mozza mix. |

Ham
Canadian Bacon
Sliced Meatballs

One of the keys (I think) is this place uses one of those ovens that cooks the bottom of the pizza real hot, real fast so it makes just the bottom very crispy. Yum!......again, LASAGNA PIZZA owns!!!! |
