So I was at the local Crawfish Festival all weekend (yes, pics to come in the other "what are you eating thread.....downed 12 plates day 1, and 15 on day 2....only stopped cause I ran outta beer. haha  ). Anywhooooo.....at the festival there was a booth selling and giving away samples of this new fangled hot dog.....it was a hot dog, but it was sliced in half and stuffed with cole slaw. Cole slaw on a hot dog ??!?!?! Anyways, I know how some of you get worked up over ketchup/catsup on a hot dog, so I thought this might surely send you over the top!  Has anyone had this or seen one?  |

| Funny thing, I just had a Slaw Dog yesterday, too. 2 little hot dogs at the "place to go"...gal had 2 as well. 4 dogs, $20.00. I almost laughed my head off running out of the shop. Fuck that shit...just put cream cheese and grilled onions on there and I'm good to go. |

Jesus! Chris, are you serious? Never heard of a slaw-dog before? Man, What's next? Aspargus guac? Wait aminute.....
How were the crawfish? Seriously. I quit going to those boils due to total crap flavor and too many "dead bugs" in the boxes. Besides, the music is the fucking worst ever. |

Here in Atlanta, that's what we like to call a "split" and they usually make em with the BIG red hot dogs..
You can find the best ones in the city at Ann's Snack Bar on Memorial Drive. |

Crawfish were awesome this year!!!! Last year, they kept running out...I got like 3 plates over the course of the whole thing last year...not this time! I ate TONS and coulda had plenty more. And I didn't have to much "trash" in each plate (bodyless claws, heads, antennas, etc.)....the crawfish were pretty nice size on average too!....oh, but the music still sucked....unless for some reason you are a huge Gin Blossoms, Better than Ezran, P.O.D., or Live fan.
...and no, I have never heard of nor seen a slaw dog done that way....the fact that I don't eat hot dogs probably doesn't help either. |
