So I had these two repro shirts left over that I'd tried to get rid of the board here a couple of times(a rat bones and a steadham). I got sick of looking at them the other day so I decided to put them on ebay. I NEVER PUT MY SHIRTS ON EBAY. I figured that there was no harm since I was clearly not trying to pass it off as an original and it was a hell of a lot nicer than all those other shitty heat transfer repros on ebay. Right?

Wrong.

The auctions got pulled today at George Powell's insistance. I'm not mad at that part, since he has every right to do that. What I want to know is what I did that all those other guys who sell that shit don't do? Was it because I was honest? Who knows? All I know is that while I get shit for trying to sell two shirts that I had sitting here, lucylightning can sell dozens of Blender and Lucero shirts and get away with it. It's maddening.

At any rate, I won't be doing the ebay thing anymore. S&B only.

Ty

That sucks Ty. While he has every right to call foul on repro shirts, it does suck that shitheads like lucylightning can pawn as many ringer T's, Zippos and belt buckles as they want. Weak dude, but we still support you.

hey strangle,
do you think G/P would shoot the lock off his wallet and pay big money for original decks like, ray bones snub, beamers, cab bearings, first hawks and ollie tankers?
or maybe, just maybe he's sitting on a butt-load of them?

When I worked at Powell there was an archive of stuff. I would imagine there's at least one of everything at the shop.

Everything was pulled from production. But this was 1988-89. So I'm sure that in the interim surely someone has grabbed every one of those decks and wheels and went and skated them to within an inch of their existence, then put them back, hoping that no one would know any better.

I'll bet that NHS is a different story, seeing how they blow out their existing stock at dirt cheap prices after a season or two. Case in point: Leftovers wheels, lathed down from bullet 66's to 45mm bearing covers in 1992.

I'd take a small Rat Bones in case you have anything left in that size.
