Gonna be near Orlando from march 17-31 and hoping the inlaws will watch the youngen' so I can get in a few sessions.
Took down info from a previous discussion on Ovida but looking to see if anyone else has any tips? I'm staying real close to Disney (no fucking way I'm going there).
Places I should avoid like the plague (for skating)?
Places that are a must?
Any advise would be killer........
Thanks.

skip the Van's....unless you dig 100's of groms and a sucky no flow bowl. the outdoor park at Orlando was very cool. besides a killer pool the concrete area was major flow...you could ride til your legs jell without ever stepping off. |

i like skateing vans when its rainy but other than that avoid it, orlando skatepark is badass anc pretty inexpensive 3 hour session for non members is 6 bucks and if u can skate longer than that and your cool they usualy let u stay longer . I havent been out to ovideo yet but i hear iam missing out big time i just dont feel the need to pay 12 bucks to skate. Lake mary is also a very fun place to skate just has one nice crete bowl thats super smooth and fast built by team pain and its only 3 bucks and u can skate all day

Hit up the Vans park..12 bucks for 2 hours
I think it was "drop off your kid who has never skateboarded before and have him practice rolling on the flat bottom of all ramps/transitions day"
Fucking unbelievable.
Orlando park was SICK. There for about for hours, cost me 6 bucks and never anymore than 3 other skaters there. Huge pool with real coping (never ridden the real deal before..scared the shit out of me ) and tons of tranny/hips/vert........Best park I have ever ridden handsdown!
Definately was the highlight of the 2 week trip. |
