are your spouses really this unsupportive of you collections?
i'm not trying to diss anyones love or anything, but doesnt it just make you sad that you cant have this " hobby" without taking unnesessary shit from your "other"?
i mean, are you all taking a second mortgage on the house, giving head in the alley, selling drugs to kids, to support your habit. do they not spend any money on shoes, drills, lawnmowere, grills, manicures, clothing, beer, strippers...
whatever. i just woke up... i get grumpy |

A lot of people spend big cash on decks. I dont know any guy who would not go fucking nuts if his wife came home with $600 in shoes. They will drop that on a deck and expect the wife to go along with it.
My wife doesnt work outside the house so we are on a single income, my views maybe a little different. Money is tight, I check with her when I buy anything. |

My wife does not even want to know what I spend on decks, but I also control all of the finances in the houshold, it creates a huge problem, but when I feel guilty, I just go buy her something nice. If it came down to it, she would go, before I stoped collecting.

I have the best wife! She doesn't mind whatever I get. I built two 7 foot tall racks to put decks on. When I brought them in from the garage she was like " WOW! Those are pretty!" She doesn't skate. I am so lucky. |

you guys are lucky, my wife has no interest in skating or me spending a lot of money on skating. I could tell she got frustrated with me just buying new bushings for my Indy's the other day.
She doesn't mind me skating but doesn't like me to spend money on it
She is a great wife in every other aspect. She is just sortof old fashioned and likes to save a lot of money in our savings account etc. I don't mind it because I know our future will be secure but it can get frustrating when you see something you are completely stoked about, but it maybe very expensive.
So that's why I don't collect. Unless somebody has a Natas Kitten natural wood color with blue yarn that was my first real board and I gotta get one! |

I just bought my first deck on eBay this morning, I've been eyeing them for the past few weeks and finally decided to start picking up a few. The wife actually is into it at this point. But I imagine I'll be screwed the first time she finds out just how much some of them run... |
