What's the blue layer in my Powell Peralta deck?

Joined: 15 Apr 2004 Posts: 1970 Location: Mass.
So I drilled my Hawk Iron cross to set up my rib bones and noticed a blue layer in the deck...feels like plastic.
Do you guys know what it is?

or it could be one of those ultra rare powell asbestos decks.

so I wouldnt recommend licking it.

It is very dangerous.

you should send it for safe disposal to -

"safe asbestos skateboard disposal" company
