Heck, I'll bite. For the last two years I've been riding a burton T6 159, the original late-release model. I know Jake's company takes a lot of heat from "hardcore" dudes (I went on an anti-Burton crusade for two years in the mid 90s), but the board is sweet, in my opinion. Good enough for Terje, good enough for me.

'99/00 nitro shadow. Its got the burton mission gt from 2 years ago. I re-fitted it with the new toecaps - big improvement. If I could get a new one I'd get that Burton malolo. Looks like it would work well in Vermont. |

The Burton hate-trip is legit IMO ... They take the Nike approach to snowboarding, grab the big names for sponsorship and generally try and dictate the market to distributors and sellers ... What's worse is they have been cheapening their product for years and, most recently, developed a hard-assed attitude in defective product returns.
Rumor has it that they even cut a deal to market their boards with major sports chain stores for the upcoming season. |
