Hi all!
This is my first post. Been skating for a a year or so, just recently got into vert and pool riding and I'm improving every time. Apart from the actual skating, I have that kind of personality trait which compulses me to try everything gear-wise; different setups, diy-stuff, weird new Products (anything except Shark Wheels because they are so ugly) custom-made things, rebuild decks/trucks until they break, etc...
One thing I would really like to try is to throw on a set of Rollerbones Turbo on a skateboard. Why? Because they are very lightweight compared to their Rolling size, which is 62x37mm. Supposed to be a 100g for each Wheel. Should be great for anyone who wants big Wheels but don't care for the extra weight. (This kind of superlight Wheel design was a thing in the 80's, kryptos pro III had it for example)
They get great Reviews for derby skating; roll fast and good grip. Available in alot of duros up to 101a. I'd buy a set and try if they weren't so damn expensive, so that's why I want to throw out the question if anyone has tried this? Or maybe someone could borrow a set and try? |

Thanks for the tip, but they have near zero contact area and are not a lo-weight design, so not at all what I was thinking. |

Save your money and your time, buy Pi wheels and Rockets bearings and spend all that time you saved ripping it up in the skatepark. |

No. Everyone here is a human ad.
FYI - If RollerBones provided superior performance for the application you have in mind, Powell would have already marketed them for that application.
Some of the suggestions are inside jokes that may or may not be also mocking you for exploring something that was explored a long time ago with dismal results.
Some of the suggestions are genuine, and were made to kindly tip you off to what are some of the best wheels in the industry for the application they were designed for. |

You joined a skateboard forum and asked a question about wheels.
You were given better recommendations that would work better.
Then you whine because you were given recommendations?
Maybe since you're trying to progress, you should try listening to people that already have.
I'd try the PI wheels option personally.
Spitfire Forumla Fours are good too. |
