My pal John Raimondo dropped in at the newly-finished Kensington Skatepark pool in East Vancouver on the unmarked deathbox about a month ago, and aside from shattering his elbow beyond recognition, he really messed up his hip.
While he spends the next few months in a wheelchair wating for the OK to bear weight on his re-constructed pelvis, he is busy taking care of his 2 kids, 3 and 5!
He is the guy who gets you stoked to skate, has been doing it since forever, and chances are, a lot of you know the guy...and of course, he is a huge Duane Peters devotee!
Got him an American Nomad Stimulus deck, and stripped the graphics, wheel-welled it, and sprayed it IVY (my son picked the colour)
Got out the re-issue Duane for some tape reference
Stayed up late with the one shot enamel, channeling my inner Caballero
And am sending it to him as a reminder to stay focused on his recovery, and to kill it at Physio.
Thanks Jay for the killer deck to do this on!! American Nomad Stimulus Package rules!!!

That is very cool.
How did you get the letters to come out so good? Stencil? |

Thanks! I taped the paper version of the lettering in place, and traced it with a ball point pen, hard enough to leave a slight indent in the board.
This made it pretty easy to see where the letters were, but left no razor cuts, or ink that could smudge. |
