I can't remember the year but it involved hollowing out a potato, stuffing it with a cheese wrapped hot dog and beer. Does anyone rememeber this, or have the recipe? I know it was from the mid to late 80's. Any help would be appreciated.

I may be fuzzy on the particulars. It sounded good to me when I was a teenager, and it always kinda stuck in the back of my mind but I never tried it. I would still love to try it, even though it is most likely terrible. |

my only advice is...
It sounds like you already know what is in it, and although it sounds pretty gross, you seem to be willing to try it. So, make a cheese dog, hollow out a potato, fill it with beer, then stuff the hot dog in, then proceed to skarf it down. Then, for a real nostalgic feel, leave a mess in the kitchen so your mom yells at you when she gets home. |

see thats the problem, those are a few of the ingredients that I can remember, and I'm not sure exactly how it all went together. I just remember that it sounded good at the time. Unfortunately about 10 years ago I got rid of all my Thrasher back Issues, since i didn't think I would ever get back into skating. I'm such a dumbass (for getting rid of the Thrashers and for quiting skating). |

A guess on the year? Maybe worked out from what age you think you were. I've got a full set of '81-'85 Thrashers and the recipe sounds wild enough to dig through a year or two if you think it was during the earlier half of the '80s. |

Thrasher has the first few years on their site if you feel like digging, too |
