Bill,
It looks like you are good with modifying digital images. If you have time, could you draw some lines you skate in that snake run/bowl picture? I remember you had some really nice lines. I need to study up since the park is opening soon.
Maybe since C & D is going to put skatepark features into their park guide, maybe we here at SnB can put diagrams of nice lines to skate! Maybe break it down by goofy/regular within each park... cross reference it to videos on youtube!
hahahahaha
Then between the two sites everyone will have complete information.
"Yeah, I was able to do diagram B, but instead of a smith grind, I just did a 5-0."
"Sweet! I've found B to be too difficult in its entirety. So I took the second half of S and merged it to create my own BS!" |

I think we need more information on the suspect. |

I'll be back in town in a couple weeks, but I'll miss the opening by a day. No big matter anyhow, since I'm laid up having just donated a kidney to my mom last week. No skating 'til mid april probably. I'll start getting out to take photos though, and I'll be at Haven a few times shooting and hanging with Jeff and Matt and the heads.
Chicago is warming up and people are finally getting outside again, but I'm moving back. That park, my baby, is a part of the equation/decision.
They didn't use grout between the tiles or to set them, they used concrete (I helped with some of the deep end). Concrete patch would be stronger, but yeah, it's the shellac that will keep it good. Maybe someone should take care of it before the season opener. When I'm around I'll contact Erin and see if I could get in to do it, but I'd need help because I can't lift anything heavy (like 50 lb bags of cement and water).
I don't know that we need more of a deck around the smaller bowl. More around the shallow end of the large, if anything. Maybe a couple big parking blocks for the top of the bank, too...
How was the wood chip situation during the fall winds? I still think we need sod there. Plant a few small trees just outside the fence for shade, and get rid of the goddamned gate...

I called Eddie for the recipie and I was using the term "grout" loosely. Mike if you're around you can help me. And that's some heavy stuff with your Mom and the kidney. Good for you. I hope you and yours recover fast. |
