Got a email news update....(If their hours are only until 6, this may suck)

Hey All,
We're still working on the flyer, but wanted to give you all the heads up that the Park is opening Saturday, Aug. 9th so you can mark your calendars! Noon to 6pm. Bring your helmuts and pads cause the insurance mandates you wear them and you won't be able to skate without them.

Below are the guidelines of this group. Please respect them.

Hello and Welcome to the Sebastopol Skatepark group email list. We will use this list to provide you with information about the progess and development of our skatepark, fundraising, projects and ways that you can help. We will not use this email list for any other reasons such as political /forwards or other discussions unrelated to our skatepark and ask that you respect this guideline as well.
We are excited about our skatepark and thank you for your interest and willingness to help out.

and look, and brand new update...

Well gang, it turns out we've got to postpone the Grand Opening due to construction problems with the park. The transition of the pool is off and there are surface problems in the Rocket Bowl which we have insisted be corrected. The City agrees and the contractor is making the repairs. This will delay the use of the pool and rocket bowl into September. Although the street course and beginner bowl will be ready to skate by Aug. 9th, it won't be the same if the advanced features are blocked off.

We're working on a new date in September for the Grand Opening. This gives us all more time to make the celebration worthy of the event. If you would like to get involved, let us know. We will have pro skaters, booths, freebies, food and music. We'll keep you posted as soon as we have the date. If you know anyone who would like to have a booth, give donations or get involved in any other way, please contact:

Park partially opening tomorrow at 8 am to 8 pm. Mini bowl and street course only. I am going to go check it out.

Park is now fully open. Had their grand opening on Sat. 27th.

I didn't go, but I am going to check it out this Wednesday about 12:15 or so if anybody wants to come out and play.

Cool deal Buddha. I work the 4 Ten hour shifts deal, so I am off work every Wednesday and weekends.
