went camping not too long ago, brought up a bag of frozen fries, didnt know how we'd cook them, but after frying up 3lbs of bacon and seeing all that wonderful bacon grease....we knew what had to be done!
Bacon fried french fries! oh my they were killer! Stayed crispy for 2 days in the cooler too! Add scrabled eggs, also cooked in bacon grease, cheese and of course bacon to a huge french roll and you got a killer outdoor breakfast!

OK well I am a retard but I can google:
I wonder what I am missing, nobody ever gave me a cheese curd
Poutine (Quebec French pronunciation putsɪn (helpinfo)) is a dish consisting of French fries topped with fresh cheese curds, covered with brown gravy and sometimes additional ingredients. [1] The freshness of the curds is important as it makes them soft in the warm fries, without completely melting. It is a quintessential Canadian comfort food, especially but not exclusively among Qubcois.
Poutine is a fast food staple in Canada; it is sold by many fast food chains (such as New York Fries and Harvey's) in the provinces, in small diners and pubs, as well as by roadside "poutine trucks" and "fries stands," commonly known as "cantines" or "casse-crotes" in Quebec. International chains like McDonald's,[2] A&W,[3] KFC and Burger King[4] also sell mass-produced poutine across Canada, especially in Quebec. Popular Quebec restaurants that serve poutine include Chez Ashton (Quebec City), La Banquise (Montreal), Lafleur Restaurants, Franx Supreme [5],La Belle Province, Le Petit Qubec and Dic Ann's Hamburgers. Along with fries and pizza, poutine is a very common dish sold and eaten in high school cafeterias in various parts of Canada. It is to be noted that many poutines can be very high in cholesterol and trans-fat, especially in restaurants that use frying oils over and over again |
