Gas Station sandwiches for the most part suck. Most of them except the Great Italian.
I have enjoyed the "Great Italian" sandwich for many years now. It has the perfect blend of meats and cheese. The size of the soft baguette roll is just enough to satisfy my appetite but not too much bread that it makes the sandwich dry. It is a surprisingly tasty and fresh treat you can find at most convenient stores and gas stations.
The part about the Great Italian I enjoy the most was the two pepperoncinis that were included in the package. This is a very nice touch to an already delightful sandwich. Since there are no veggies on the sandwich, having the peppers was just perfect and set this sandwich apart from the rest of the pre-packaged sandwiches in the deli isle.

I would tear that bitch up.
Looks like a 2:00 a.m. super sandwich, something that would fill the empty spot and fight off the inevitable hangover that will be showing up the next day.
The peperoni sounds like the best part. |

No veggies? Any cheese? What do you put condiment wise on it? Seems like it would be kind of dry with no veggies and just bread and meat! |

condiments: comes equipped, out of the bag with a mayo mustard combo thats light enough to not overpower the sandwich, and I hate mayo.
cheese: if i'm not mistaken its got provolone
veggies: accessorized with 2 med-big pepperoncini peppers to enjoy a nibble of every other bite. i eat the stem.
its a friggin pre-wrapped gas station sandwich what do you want? expectations are low but this thing goes the distance.
edit: that pic is with it half eaten. its close to 14" long |

Little green Italian peppers, more tangy than hot.
I like them on my sandwiches too, they add a nice punch. |

I was just asking questions, relax. Didn't mean to offend the sandwich!
Here are pepperoncini:
