whatever truck works best for you is gonna be trial and error..
wheels..shitfire 60's seem to work well..i am about 6ft 230lbs and have to say they accelerate really well..i have old gold swiss bearings in them that i re-lube before going to the park..i used some foundation 65 king kongs WITH bones ceramics and they seemed to be slower,of which i thought them being taller WITH a top 'o the line bearing would be uncontrollable speed..meh,they weren't
the board i had was a cohort 9' deck punk point,of which i got used to quickly..i am used to the 14' wheelbases on street, but re-discovered the joy of having a 15+ wheelbase..what a difference for foot positioning.an 8.5 would be decent, but then again, what everyone suggests what'll work for them,may/may not work for you..go with what you 'd enjoy and take it from there

The problem just seems to be truck sizing, I refuse to ride Indy 9's so that pretty much slices the available stuff to nil

I've got a couple sets of Stage VII and VIII 149's (I think), so you've got solid baseplates, and both hole sets. If you're interested, give me a holler, and I'll post some pics for you.

Though I don't know if it's a "11.1623" or an "11.2345". I'll check. Cuz it really matters.

- deck 8.5-9.0, slight square tail (like them Emergency decks)

- wheels 60+mm (last year I rode "Wolfsmensch" wheels, produced in the US, marketed by German company Minus skateboards - they never got a single friggin flatspot!) - anything under 58mm will make you lose energy on pumping...

- trucks 149 or 159 Indy's

---> ...and Bones Swiss bearings - very important IMO... I clean'em every coupla weeks...

Thanks for all of the suggestions! I've hit a few pools since being stateside again and if lady luck shines on my ass will soon be hitting up my first ramp session in many a year.

Thankfully I have enough crap in my quiver that if something doesn't feel great I'm going to be able to switch it up

I go with trucks that are the same width as the deck. I think the 8" axle will be too narrow for your board. I'd get some 149's and some 60mm shitfires. The Godoys are a little wider if thats a concern.
