My first board was a black snow (worst board ever). Second was a Look Burt Lamar trick stick - the board looked suspiciously like a condom. My third board was a 1995 158 Burton Floater yellow color - looked like a giant Twinkie. My curent rider is a 160 Burton Rush with a fat cop on the tail eating a doughnut.
I was lucky enough to find one of the first production Burtons, a Burton Back Hill. The top is wood painted white it has a v notch cut in the tail the bindings are rubber step-in, like what you would find on a pair of water skis. The board even came with a rope at the nose with a handle to grab onto. The best part about the board is that it was maybe used once then given to a Salvation Army. I bought it for $3.00 - The best purchase I ever made.

I forgot one, I also owned a Craig Kelly mountain board after having the Burt Lamar Trick Stick. - It was burgandy with a crazy looking tree at the tail - Sweet board, but not for Michigan, so I sold it. Sad hearing about his death, but he went doing what he loved.

First was a 155? red/yellow burton elite w/the V-tail s#it, traded it for a smaller model burton elite like 149 or somthing like that. Back in the day we had to convince the local mountain to let us ride and they made us sign a waiver. |

My first board was a Snurfer with homemade aluminum skyhook type bindings covered with ductape in 1979.
First real snowboard was a 1981 Sims 150cm Quadra-concave like the 4th one from the left in the following picture, but with the sticker set of the 3rd and no badge on the nose.
This was my 2nd real board: 1983 Burton Powdergun. The oldest i still have...
