I'm going to set up a PPS ditch killer.
I currently have a set of Holeys on a crusey longboard and totally love the way the ride and look. Not sure if they are as strong as some of the others
Also have some force trucks which Again I like, not quite as turny as the holeys but a bit more robust looking. I have these set up on my kebbek hairpins, they are not the downhill model.
Most of the ditches we have down under have square bottoms and no transition to the ditch walls.
My quandry is what trucks to use on my ditch set up? I can get Holey, randall, paris and revenge trucks locally, so would be interested in your opinions.
Planning to run 77mm Abec 11 strikers |

My opinion, others will disagree: If you are dealing with sharp transition from walls to bottoms, you'd best go with a standard truck. The Grind King wide trucks (Thunderbirds) are plenty strong in that regard, better than Tracker and Indy -- and not as turny, so better for speed. Also the Gullwing Missions are excellent.
Higher speeds coupled with that sharp transition are hell on trucks. You will bend axles and break hangers -- inspect often.
If you really want a randal-style truck, go with the Landyachtz Grizzlies if you can afford. They are beefy enough to handle what you're describing. Randals are not. |
