I am in Birmingham. I have just found out a mate can record vhs onto dvdr with his pioneer dvd recorder. I will be getting a film done shortly to see what the quality will be like. This could be good

Rip everything you can onto dvd and I'll rip it to mpg and stick it on the hub.

I have ALWAYS wanted to see SOTB but don't know anyone with a copy...

I know I have the following as mpg on the dc hub:
Girl Yeah Right
Habitat Mosaic
Hocus Pokus
Shakle me not
Have wheels/streets on dvd, but haven't got round to ripping it yet

I'm not sure what it is with spirit of the blitz, it is actually a pretty crap vid. when I bought it me and my mates watched it once, swore at it and consigned it to the back of the drawer lol.

What is the quality of these videos like when converted to mpeg, compared to vhs?

cheers, Jim.

As with any analogue copy you make, the VERY BEST it will be is the same quality as your original.

I have bought a brand new panasonic vcr JUST to encode videos...

If you reckon you can trust me maybe you could lend me a few videos? I only need them for a couple days MAX then will post straight back (together with the mpgs after I've encoded them). I have dealt with other members on the forum so they (I'm sure) will vouch for me...
