oh yeah - one more ...

is it ok to use different inks on one screen (after cleaning of course)? Say - to print the same graphic with the Nazdar for decks, but Plastisol for shirts?

Well you need screen opener for plastisol, and it is not waterbased.
Technically you can, but when using water washable inks, you should not use oil or enamel solvent based ink.

Burn a second screen for shirts.

that's what I kinda figured ...

thanks again for all the info! You've always been a great help. I hope to "graduate" to a multi-color print in the next coming months. I just tweaked my press and it's working much better.

I inherited a lot of screens and frames from my aunt. I'm psyched to start making more screens to get doing more stuff.

One frame is metal and has 2 sides that are round, the round sides look like they are built to rotate to adjust the tension ... does this sound familiar?

Yeah those are quite common.
You can change the mesh and tighten it yourself.
I don't use them cause I use a different brand, and get them stretched.

i have used the 2700 series for some stickers and other various prints. It dries nice and shiney but it is kind of rubbery, i doubt it would have negative effects on boardslides and such though.

I used 256 mesh with the thinner, came out nicely. Be sure to flood coat after each print though, stuff dries super fast in your screen.

I use nazdar 59000 series for decks, this stuff is super durable but cleanup is a bitch! also screen the veneer sheets in the flat before you mold the decks.

I'm not making my own decks ... so screening the veneer first isnt an option .... sure would be easier tho!

How do you protect the print from damage while the board is in the press?
