I do have to say, now that I live here in Lower Alabama...
You would not believe the dirt cheap yummy food I can buy.
Buy shrimp from shrimpers, yes it rocks for, for next to nothing.
Oysters, by the gallon, good sausage, and corn.
I can make my own burgers... |

Yeah I used to go to Small's as well before it crapped out with casting couch types.
Astro Burgers on Santa Monica has a higher rate of turn over of there product.
I did the Apple Pan with my girl last night, she enjoyed it and the fact that it cost 6.75 for a hamburger and that she was handed the burger, minus a plate.
Overall there was nothing different from an In-N-Out burger, only Apple Pan with 2 burgers, 2 drinks, 2 pieces of pie was $32
And the kicker is, there pie fillings are generic, there meat is generic, saw the boxes when you walk down from the parking area. Just 'Best Packers' same meat you can get at Costco and sold in lunch rooms.
Shit like that makes me go whatever. The burger was fair, but it's done everywhere else and is more economically priced. |

Ahmen brother. My family is form upper extreme North East Bama, Fort Payne. I can say without a doubt, there is better food in the South then there will ever be just abouts on either the left or right-wing coasts. It's served fresh, fast and friendly....however I don't like sweet tea.... |

Me either... I remember coming down here 15 years ago, when I was the boyfriend of Ms. Diane. Now my wife.
Unsweet please... Got some looks.
Now, not so much a problem, yes some of the great eats joints do not sell beer. But I am amazed more and more on how many places I can get a Gin n Tonic... And on Sunday.
I live in Loxley, outskirts, north of the 10 in the woods, can not buy beer there on Sunday, not a problem, drive 3 miles up to Stapleton.
I BBQ at least 10 pounds of Boston Butt a month. If you know how to work it, 99 cents a pound. |
