My guess would be a spray gun.

It goes on thin, allowing quicker drying between passes, no drips, and no disturbing the finish underneath, and no brush strokes.

spray is best, but whatever will work. this is not your normal solvent laquer. it will not damage or delam the decks. I've been using it for years. It works great, seals, protects, nice and glossy, and easy cleanup. several other big manu's use this same stuff (I got the tip from them). it's great, but not cheap.

The best rattle can clear that I've encountered is Rustoleum Crystal Clear enamel. I've sprayed it over a variety of paints and inks with no issues. A two part urethane system of course is better, but like I said, the best rattle can stuff I can find. Home Depot has it.

Nazdar:

1) make sure you have a good ink cleaner that will clean up solvent ink.

2) wear a paint mask, solvent highs are neither fun nor good for your health.

3) put the lid back on the can when you are printing, most of the fumes in my shop are caused when the gallon container sits next to the press open and the solvent is evaporating off that. Close the can, or the fire inspector will have a fit, and you will be too high to tell the difference.

4) Make sure you get thinner and retarder, don't add more than 20% or your ink may not cure.

5) sharp squeegee

6) get a gallon of mixing/overprint clear. You can mix metallics, glow inks, or you can extend your regular colours a bit and save some dollars.

My 2 cents
