Sometimes after doing a print, I see globs of ink on the print side of the screen (either from trying to bleed off the side, or from a truck bolt hole). If I don't clean it off, it will make a blob when I lower the screen back down. What's the best way to clean this off without having to clean the whole thing every time? |

screen opener or citrus cleaner works well on a small area. let it sit for a few and then wipe off. |

Get some loose print stock like brown paper, and do a paper print to take excess ink of the back of the screen. |

so you're saying to do a junk print in between each deck print? |

Chances are you won't need it between every print, I am betting that your image is wider than the contact area your screen can print correctly. |

If it's just a small spot where the emulsion is thin, or is just a random smudge, and isn't near my print area, I just slap some 2" painter's tape over the offending drop. It beats smearing the offending drop all over the place, or scrapping the run.
And yes, the occasional Newsprint blot run is a good idea, it also lets you spot any potential plugged areas. |

Newsprint can bleed trough to light colors like white and yellow. |

yep - i set up the graphic so that I could print on 8" and 7-1/2" wide decks ....
how can you setup the screen to print on different widths without having the image too big?? I understand the need to bleed the image past, but should I mask off more image for the smaller decks? |
