as far as platten adhesive goes, i use this stuff called ROLL TAC, it's kinda like rubber cement - apply by hand with a squeegie and let dry. it is super sticky and works well with flash. and when it's too fuzzy to use anymore you just spray it with some mineral spirits and it wipes right off. there's some stuff now that comes off with water also but i have'nt used up what i have. - i get it from SPSI - 800-876-7774, beats the heck out of the spray stuff and more cost efficient also.
glad it's working out , white on black took me forever to get it right and i'm still picking up tips and tricks for it.
screenprinters.net helped me ALOT, but it is run by hippies.

I used to spend about $1500 a year on spray tack. Now for $75 I buy a gallon of TOP BOND adheisive from Chemical Consultants (TekTak by Tekmar is another brand) and it lasts a full year. Apply it with a paint scraper or squeegee (or get one of those $400 pneumatic adheisive guns that plugs into a compressor) and let dry. When it's fuzzy and lost tack, wipe the lint off with a wet rag (wipe in circles) and let dry again. Works great on fleece too, just keep a sprayer and rags near buy, wet a rag and wipe off the line, run each of the platens for a flash cycle and you are back in business.

waterbased over solvent based any day . .
