Saturday Yo!

I usually hike a bunch prior to the lifts opening but I find myself short on extra time this year.

Saturday will be the start of this year's getdown! We only have 28 inches right now and it looks like we are going to get some rain tomorrow followed by more snow.

Damn, I am cluckin for some snowboardin...It's hard to wait all summer.

I tried snowboarding once. I figured, since I was a fairly good skateboarder/skier (using skiboards), snowboarding should come natural.

Wrong!!!

I only made it down the Bunny Slope once without falling (and I fell at the bottom of the slope only to have a couple of kids laugh their asses off at me ).

That was about six years ago. I haven't had the opportunity to ski since (right around the time my wife became pregnant ). At least I've continued skateboarding.

Once the kids are a bit older, I can see myself giving it another shot (something about tossing myself down a frozen hill just gets my blood flowing ). Maybe I'll hire a cute little snowbunny to instruct me .
