I've had an 8" 5-points deck kicking around(Higgens bro-model) for a while that I hadn't set up. I was on a Habitat when I bought it and had a Black Label Emergency(Grosso-Blocks) waiting in the wings. For about a month I've been on the Grosso and it's a big board, 8.5", so it felt good in the bowls but a little large for ramp parks. So last night I was meeting some people at a local ramp park and set up my 5-Points with my old 139 Indys and SPFs. That deck is great! Wheelbase is just right for me as is the concave. My 50/50s(in minis and bowls) have been really sporatic in the past few months and I got 'em locked in again last night. The deck just felt right on my feet as soon as I threw it down and pushed. I think I'm going to retire the Grosso since this one feels so damn good.
The wood is good!
