I just got my Ulano QX-1 emulsion and I was checking out the exposure sheet and I don't see anytimes for using a Halogen light? I am using a 300watt Halogen light sitting 18" from the screen, can anyone recommend an exposure time? Also Is there anything else I may want to know when using this emulsion? Thanks!

well the reason there is no exposure time for halogen is because thye give off the wrong uv's and are not professional grade
I use 2 500 watt halogen at about 18" with a 7 minute burn time
so try for 10 and adjsut from there

Ok, I just exposed my first screen using the QX-1 emulsion. I exposed for 10 Minutes at 18" above the screen and It took double the time to wash out the stencil then it did when I used the cheap Diazo emulsion and it really loosened up the emulsion (where I did not want the emulsion removed) to where bits of it where still sliding off (I beleive this Is due to the amouint . What am i doing wrong? Do I need to expose for a longer time? I only coated the screen once on both sides, is that not enough?

if the emulsion washes off where you don't want it to, it's underexposed.

if you can't wash it out you overexposed it/

Try spraying your screen with water, let it sit for five. Your image sould come through. If this don't work try less expossure. I all ways spray before washing.
