Ive never really longskated and didnt really like shortboards. Longboards just took my eye and looked more fun.
I ordered a, what I assume, is a shitty complete setup on ebay to get my feet wet.. Its a Moose pintail. Didnt cost much. So If I dont like it, its not much of a loss.
Ok. Lately, say the past six months I've gained about 25-30 lbs.
Not something Im proud of, but hey...
Anyway. Currently Im 270, and am looking for a board that can hold my beef if the Moose won't. Does anyone have any experience with these decks or know if it will hold up to my fatass? |

Got it today. The MOOSE. Contrary to the auction it has negative camber. But a deep convex. My 270 put the deck two or three inches off the ground.
I need a stiffer deck.
The core trucks are VERY well finished, polished but my weight is too much for them straight from the shop. Quarter inch risers and 31mm wheels have zero wheel bite. even when the edge of the deck on the ground.. thanks to my weight. |

what's the length of the deck you just got?
Perhaps a different deck with a slightly shorter lenth (but still a longboard) would work? |

sidewalk - its a 46 inch pintail. I got to rollin around on it earlier. Its not bad... Its still too loose for me though. I just dont have any sockets or tool that I dont have to excavate for... It will probably work. But Im not ruling a new deck out...
Mile - Ok. Ill see what ya got.
I heard Insect can make stronger decks that will hold 300lbs... Im not sure what Im after yet though. The pintail caught my eye first... |

| Get one of the subsonics from Mile High. They are bit different than a pintail but are strong, I think about 11 ply and there is not any flex. |

We do 15-ply for the stiff flex version. I just sold one to a cat who clocks in at 300, and it's fine. |

Our boards will turn better because of the width, stiffness, and deep wheel wells. They're not cheap, but they are made in the US one at a time. The drop-platform version (which we're sold out of) is one of the finest speed-carving boards available. |

| Hey cantskate, I 'm about 280 myself...try buying TWO of the cheaper decks, and stack em' together with a little adhesive in between, works every time, but you might have to go to a hardware store to find 2.75" or 3" mounting bolts. |
