how much for a "land where I live". I have a chance to buy one from a friend in mint condition but I don't know what they are worth. It's the one with the blue stain.

Careful what you buy.....with wheel wells seems to be a good bet....lots of shady ones without wheel wells floating about. Read it all on AoS! hahaha

Funnily enough I have an old 'Skateboard!' magazine (UK mag) with a Malba 'Land where I live' in it as well as another Dogtown deck. They point out that this new Dogtown doesn't seem to be the same quality they're used to - a lot of spliced plies, cheaper looking wood, and no wheel wells. I suspect that either Dogtown was getting ripped back in the 80's (surely unlikely?) or that they just switched manufacturers and started churning out shit. It's certainly a fact that the boards in this magazine have no wheel wells. Make of that what you will. |
