WTF? The seller's backed out saying that she's been advised to relist it with a reserve of �1,000!!! And I thought I'D overpaid for it???

wasn't me, honest. the whole "accounted for" thing made that sound bad. I had a bowie at one point and sold it to dvsshoeco.

I wouldn't say astoundingly cheap. I think �500 is more than fair now I've had time to consider. As Lot 49 said I think there could be a lot of those out there...it was offered at a reduced price in UK magazines because it never sold well.
