i upgraded my wooden press so now i dont have to use clamps, or stick a little pin in a hole to hold up my press arms!! i now use springs and some homemade screen clamps and it works perfect. i also made a new registration system using some skateboard bearings! this press is just as good as any metal one and cost me less than 45$ !!! i am workin on plans so email me if you want more info!!!

thanks, cody

and enjoy the pics!

Thats really good.
I wanted to suggest that you invest in a small pipe bender, and a welder. You would be good at small tube fabrication.
You should start working with metal.

That's amazing mate! It's mad to see you built by yourself. It's given me a bit of a kick up the arse.

BUT, are the springs strong enough to launch a squeegee full of ink across the room?? Cause mine certainly are (learned that today)

darn good job too. I am gonna be building a 1 colour press for printing names on sports jerseys. Basic 1 colour press, but it will be setup to take a 30"x40" screen, with a 4' press arm so I can load a naming pallet on there. It's absolute hell cleaning athletic inks out of 14 20"x26" frames, so two 30x40s should be nicer, plus you can get almost an entire team on there.
