@ohio...
you have to burn the (almost)exact board shape on the screen.once that is done and the screen is assembled with a board underneath you use a filler to make it the exact!!!! shape of the board.
you don't want to squish the color through the mesh where nothing is underneath or else you have to prepare for a nice cleaning disaster... |

ok donald i have a question.
first off what if i dont used the outline of the board for the flood coat, what will happen? will it go over onto the edges of the board to much.
second lets take and image for example like youre logo you did, what if you did not used the screen filler to block the edges, what would happen. lastly why dont people laucure over the board after the graphics are on i know you need to seal the board but what is the difference in doing the graphics on the bare wood verses doing it on a already lacured board. What im sayiing is that lacure would give it a protective glossy finish vs without it all there is is the ink.
now were getting tech! |

This thread has been a great source of screening info but I do have one question. How do you attach the screen material to the frame so that it is uniformly smooth and secure? |

when you do it on the wood,you are using a special glue,available at your printer's outlet plus you tack the mesh,so it is stable.another method is using a very thin aluminium frame which is flat and bendable.once the mesh is glud on to this frame you attach it with screws to the shaped frame. |
