Yeah, baby. Have my season pass for Mammoth, and this year my son (8 yrs old) has new ski gear, too. He even told me he wanted to learn to snowboard. Cool stuff. Luckily, local schoolkids only have to pay $3.00/day for a pass, otherwise I'd be living like a pauper supporting his habit...lol.
Had plenty of killer days last year. Can't wait to get started again this year. June Mt. was going off with incredible powder days, and NO lines. Love that. The LA basin folks can have Mammoth on crowded weekends. Everyone else knows June is the ticket then. But weekdays, Mammoth is all mine! Well, ok, I'm willing to share...
So how many days does the average S&Ber get on the slopes in a season?

I've done the last 3 years in Heavenly, fantastic place and you gotta love those casino's .
Taking a trip round to homewood was always fun, no crowd's and a great view of the lake. |

i work at snow summit/bear so i get something like 120+ days
i wish i could hit up mammoth/june more often. just the drive & tix.
i know a girl that works at shogun so i usually crash at her place!
but ya, june was pretty awesome as far as jumps & not waiting goes. their rails & boxes though? shady...
if any of you guys are jibbers, bear's the place to be. no wait, scratch that.
go to mtn die, i mean mtn why? doh, mtn high...

Baker up here...wide open spaces and never lines that I've seen. The 3 hour drive is well worth it, though we make it a weekend.
The places a half hour from home have been shit for 2 years straight. No snow at all...hope for a much different year. |
