I just ched the nazdar info again, its officially 180-305 monofillement.
2732 thinner mixed up to 10% max, I use around 5 % or less if I can.
Re192 retarder up to 10%.
Hope this helps. |

Thanks skinny its all good. I can just get the screen restretched. I have the thinner but never really took the time to figure out the measurments. I just guessed.
Why did the 230 suck? Too high? Id rather have not enough ink than too much but I'll take your word and aim around 175.
So up to 5 newtons is suggested for the tilt?
I'm gonna try the veneer bit one more time when I get the new screen if it works out I'll stick with it for a while or until Joe gets tired of me.
Rock. |

Joe is cool like that.
Just keep in mind he is a professional and has bills too.
The 230 never passed enough ink for contact printing. It left little bubble looking dots everywhere. |

how much of the board can you cover with those screens? i have 2 curved screens i made from 2x4s. they work good if the graphic is simple cuz sometimes some of the tale detail doesnt come out cuz i pull the squeege rather than push. im trying to post pics of them cuz i know everyone want to do nose to tail graphics. soon

Hey Skinny. I use 230 mesh count with 2700 nazdar. I don't use thinner. I use the re192 retarder. it thins it out a bit, and keeps it from drying in the screen. I do a floodcoat before each print, and it comes out great. Seems like 175 meshcount would be way too big to me.
Screens look good. Lookin forward to seeing yuor finished setup pics. Looks like you will be able to print from bend to bend and maybe even a little farther with those, since they're so big. Good job. |
