It's cool because there is always snb's logged in, you right click on their name, choose browse files and you see their shared directory. I prefer this because when browsing others' files in a list, you see vids that I'm still missing or that I forgot about. There's several of us that have an arsenal of vids. You can choose to share with only users on your sharelist, so it's almost like our personal ftp that no one has to run. And the speeds can be killer between certain users. Steve-g you should definately try it out if you haven't.
I use soulseek and I've got some really good vids from there. But living in the UK means that when I'm online, everyone else is in bed! Often I'll be the only one in the S&B room. What I thought I could do was to have a download site where you weren't dependent upon others being online and where you didn't need to have a special program on your pc. But you're right, soulseek is the best option in light of filefront pulling that hub. |

At the risk of sounding like a dumb-ass. Whats FTP?
I think the prospect of being able to dl vids would be killer. Soulseek confuses and frightens me. |
