Been a snowboarder since it first evolved and somehow after getting married and having a kid my boards gathered dust hanging on a wall rack in my closet for years. This last year I decided it was time to sell off my old boards and look for something a little newer then the antiques I had been riding.
Found a great deal on a set of Oxygen hardboots and a Burton Wire 162 and I am all set to hit the slopes next winter. Total cost for Boots, bindings and board = $190.00

I prefer to carve more then jump or jib. Had soft boots for all those years and really never cared for them. Also had a bad experiance in soft boots 12 years ago. Broke a bone im my heel when I hit a compression at high speed. Didn`t realize it was broken till I got on the chairlift for the ride back up. The minute I took weight off my foot it was instant agony. That was the longest chairlift ride of my life. And then getting off was even worse. It happened to be my boot that was connected to the board so I had to ride it out. More like fall down and ask for help. Took the ski patrol sled ride to the bottom and they looked at my boot and had to cut it off my foot had swelled
so much.
So hardboots are all I will use now, took forever to find some. |

Neon green/purple Kemper pants, Killer Loop sunglasses, Zinka, and headbands are still all the rage....trust me. |
