Best thing is to get in a scene and the info will come.
It also helps to be a nomad... skate with locals and often they'll turn you on if they know you'll be out of town before they get tired of you.
Sucking up to pros is also a good way to get the flow. Those guys are actually pretty lonely. |

Grover Beach skatepark isn't too bad (http://www.caliskatz.com/v4/skateparks/grover_beach_skatepark.asp) but I know what you're saying. My uncle lives in AG and I'll hit him up to be on the lookout. I go up there every couple months or so and we could use a new spot. |
