i tweaked my ankle a li'l bit the other day and the doc says i should go for physio when it's healed.
now out of all the people on this site, i'd imagine someone has done physio on their ankle before. now i don't want to have to go and shell out money for this so i was wondering if someone could tell me some exercises/stretches i can do to strengthen my ankle when it heals?

point your toes out an move your foot around in circles in both directions. Also slowly raise and lower yourself on your tip toes. It will help build the muscle back up. |

alternate between standing on one foot at a time, with arms to your side. this will help strengthen the tendons and foot muscles also |

I`ve heard you can kit yourself out for around $7,000,000.
make a "balance board" using a can of corn and an old deck. on your toes just seesaw gently whilst holding onto a counter top.
dont rush it.

soaking your ankle in Epsom salt works too ... sounds kooky, but it really does help. THere is some scientific explaination, but I dont remember.
I also remember hearing about an excersise where you "write" the alphabet with your toes. It get's tiring even for a healthy ankle! That may be more of a strengthining excersise tho. |
