I see shoe lots on ebay all the time. I would suggest scoping that out and starting there like Jahio said. And you should give Ipath a call too, they have low minimums are make some good shoes.

I just got Sole Tech about 9 mos ago. It was a pain and my rep actually had to come visit my little shop in the middle of nowhere, but I only had to spend 2K as an opening buy

To contrast how big footwear's gotten: Back in the early 90s I actually had Pierre Andre cold-call me looking to put Etnies in my shop. I actually turned him down because at that time I was bringing in Vans which were duty free since they were still being manu'd in California and fell under NAFTA. We carry Sole Tech now though.

We actually did shop shoes, sort of. Back then you could order Vans in custom colours and they'd construct to order.

you know ... I still think the best skate shoes I ever had were NOT skate shoes. They were early 90's era Converse Hi-top Basketball shoes. Super thick leather. Tons of ankle support and cushion in the footbed. And they were only $30!

Most of the shoes I see now don't even look tailored for skating. Where's the ollie protection? Where's the toe cap protection for knee slides? Remember lace savers?

But boy, the new ones look cool and come in 10 zillion different colors.

just ranting....

I just found out that South Shore is getting Duff's at the ed of the month.

I wonder why more distributors dont handle shoes?
