If someone pays you, you should have those DVD's in the mail the next day, or the day after that at the LATEST. If you're too "busy" to get them out in a reasonable amount of time, don't post here. There's a lot of on-line trust in this forum that I have learned to respect and expect from the bros here. I've been done right by everyone I've met here, and I hope that I have done the same in return. Think about that the next time you post DVD's for sale.

I got my videos from him, a month later. Chances are you'll probably get your videos sometime in april. Quick to respond when cash is offered, ships at his leisure because really what are you going to do? Hunt him down for couple of dollars worth of skate videos...

oldskatevideos.com ship the next day, sometimes the same day. also selling for like 7.99 with beautiful menus and the finest encoding. i can't be on these guys nuts enough. serious quality. i don't agree with the guy who said about not being fussed about the artwork and menus. it may seem like a small detail but it just makes for a better overall feeling of quality. you paid 20+ for the vhs original. you want to have a quality item to put on your shelf for the rest of time. buy cheap, buy twice.

i've done a few dvds myself recently and those ones on ebay with like 3 one hour h-street videos on there make me sick. you just can't fit more than about 80 minutes on toa dvd without effecting the quality. putting 3+ hours on there.....it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out whats going on. i also get a bit fucked off with people charging $20 a disk and then the disk having shitty 5 minute job menus and encoding. thats just taking the piss.

I agree with you about the encoding. 80 minutes is definitely the max for me, but that's because I'm using a hardware encoding card. If someone had a professional quality software codec, they could get a lot more quality with about half the space, using multiple-pass encoding. But I think most of the shitty ones, like the 3-hour h-street compilations you can find, are probably done with standalone dvd-recorders, which, when set to put 3 hours on a disc, don't do that great of a job.

I'm the guy who said I don't care that much about menu's. They're nice, but if there's only one video on the disc, I like it to start playing immediately when I put in the disc. That's just me. I understand that people do dig nice menus. I definitely DO like well-placed chapter markings though.

On a thread-related note, I still haven't received my videos from future chris. This guy's a fucking joke as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, I agree. Don't compromise the quality by squishing as many videos on a DVD as you can. Just spend the extra time/money and separate them out over several DVD's.
Brent, I haven't forgot about the Sane DVD you asked for. It's on my hard drive at work. I just need to convince someone with an external drive to let me borrow it so I can burn it. I tried to burn it at home, but my drive is VERY picky about what discs it will read (NEC 2500 I think). Anyway, as soon as I can get it on a disc, I'll get it out to you.

Oh wow, thanks man. I've been wanting to see that vid for awhile, but I've been trying to cut down on my skate video spending. Don't worry if it's too much trouble, though.

I Think its Cool when you get an old Video or DVD you want thats hard to get or no longer availible. You ask about it here and bro hooks you up with a copy.

However I think its wrong of this Forum to support video piracy in allowing these guys to come on and post a long list of DVD's for sale at $15 or $20.
I think it undermines the whole Skateboard industry.I'd far rather the Companies concerned reissued the videos and sold them at $20 than had to sell soft goods like sweat bands etc to make money.

Also I dont think TONY MAGNUSSEN will get any respect from buying old videos, Even if he wasn't a creditable figure within the skateboard industry for the last 20years. His conduct and professionalism as a vert skater erned him respect from his peers back when Thrasher was a black and white magazine and he can still be seen ripping it up today.

Please Slob Pull these guys lists of pirate DVD'S I dont think its doing our fourm justice or earning it any respect.

If someone asks for a particular video fine, but no adverts for video pirates please.
