Have not done it but I wonder if you get the same effect due to air-dry inks.... Maybe simulated process could work? |

I don't think a true process will work because the colours are designed to bleed together and create the colours other then Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and black. Plus you can't print wet on wet using air dry inks so there's now way in hell you are going to be able to register the additional screens.
Simulated process would work, but to make a good sim sometimes you need 10 screens |

yeah, that sounds like a nightmare on a deck. Just doing sim on apparel is no cakewalk... |

I know Burton used to(maybe still does) print their graphics using four color process. Process printing does not have to be done wet on wet.
Good Luck. |

So how do you register when you print all the yellow, let the whole run dry? then register the magenta and not have colour shifts? if your four colour process is out of register even 0.005" there will be colour shifts, because if your yellow lands too close to a cyan dot then the colour shifts to a more greenish tint . . . maybe they print a paper laminant |

I hate to say it but theyare probably done with heat transfer
print the 4 color process to the transfer and then put it to the board..
cheesy yes, simpler solution yes...
if you were going to print them 1 color at a time you better have some awesome micros and hella tight hold on the boards so they are all consistent in register...
but then again it's a board and the graphics will be gone next week... |

He said they do 4 color process on boards, and he said they are pretty easy....
who wants to give it a try? |

I work with a printer here in town that has a huge flatbed printer that can print on anything. I've talked to him before about printing on the veneers before pressing. It uses a 4 color process, it uses a paint instead of ink. |
