if youre not being sarcastic...
muska came into the scene 1997? i think...wears his signature red and black all the time, gym pants rolled up, black tank top. and always carried a "ghetto blaster" as he called it..a boombox, .to get him 'pumped'/ during his sessions for the camera.
Kids flocked to him, another jamie thomas type figure without the jesus baggage. he was pretty sick honestly at the start, sketchy-ish style...and skated more back then, now its ALL handrails and ledges. tech stuff. And the same tricks, frontside tails, 5-O's.....He is super positive ill give him that..and his history if its true, of being poor, broke...moved to CA, sleeping on couches and just trying to skate as much as possible in the start is redeeming....but honeslty hes just kinda an image in itself, or has gotten to that point, with his following. if you can get your hands on it, borrow, Shorty's guilty or i think he has a spot in transworld's feedback or bio..
he also released muska beats which is funnny, its just crappy drum n bass stuff. whatever...hes funny ALL HAIL THE MUSKA ...ha,hope that helps...patSPLAt

Thanks for the info.

These confused white kids/wanna be OG's (or whatever), really pushed me away from skating for awhile. Skaters used to be misfit kids who gave up trying to fit in so they ended up forming their own scene, (which went on to influence mainstream society a lot).

Now it seems that a lot of skater culture is about gaining as much mainstream acceptance as you can right away, with the clothes, the music, and everyone having their own film crew, etc. Does anyone skate by themselves anymore?

P.S. Who is Jamie Thomas? Really! These new pros are a huge bore, so I don't know any of them.

Jamie Thomas is the Owner/ripper of Zero Skateboards (he allso owns Mystery and Fallen).

He's a true Gnar skater, mostly Huge rails and gaps. Kids live for his Flair.......They ponder everything from his Hair (has it shaved or grown long) to his shirts to what bandana he wares around his wrist. But like Patsplat80 said hes a Jesus freak.

Hes realy a pioneer as far as killin shit, goin big and fast on street.

this is him about 6 years ago http://www.uselessjunk.com/modules.ph...icle&sid=1066

SICK!

I dont know what his "history" is reported to be but what pat wrote about him being broke, homeless, fucked-up family, skating his ass off, etc. is all true. that guy is great! i met him in '92? in arizona where we were both living at the time and he was already ripping- trying to teach me front-foot impossibles- which he was doing with a broken arm. we made "sponsor me" videos together- dont worry, he was better than i was, etc. i remember him getting busted for stealing some boards from a shop cuz he didnt have any money. he moved to san diego where he lived with a bunch of friends and met jaime who got him really stoked and focused. his skating took off during that time- i think it was '95? i agree that his trick reportoire may have waned but dont dog him because like pat mentioned he's a real positive guy who isnt an asshole- he's a friend.
