Do any of you guys who have boards manufactured for you have the manufacturer do custom shapes?

I am interested in getting some decks made with my graphics, and I do not want popcicles. I don't have the patience to learn how to press decks (yet). I have cut a few custom shapes out of uncut blanks, but I want more decks than I would be able to produce via that method.

So, are custom shapes an option, or is the increased cost generally a restriction. My shape isn't whacky enough to warrant a custom mold (I don"t think).

Here is the shape I'd like by the way. I have contaced Mimic, and am waiting to hear back from them, but thought I'd check with you guys who are having boards made to see your opinions on the matter.

Here is my shape I'm thinking about:

9.5"wide
32"long
15" wheelbase

I'm hoping to get decks, and the graphics (3+ color screen, or heat transfer) on them all in one shot. Does Tim do that?

I've been trying to have an affordable board made with the following specs:

* 9.5-9.8" width
* 19-20" wheelbase
* 38-39" length
* Concave & nose/tail kicks
* "Thick" 7-ply or 8-ply construction

Thus far, it's been too costly to produce. I want to sell it as a rider, not a wallhanger, so the retail price has to be comparable with similarly-sized boards.

Yeah, everyone's pretty stoked on the specs, but getting one made that people could actually afford is nother story...

I will be getting some longer wheelbase uncuts cause I am getting alot of requests. I don't think they fit a 20in wheelbase but I can ask, you never know what he has in stock. I know that madrid does wheel bases that long write George at: [email protected]
He does almost anything you want, you can guarantee he has something with a wheelbase that long. As for me 16 -17 in wheelbases are coming really soon. Oh yeah new concaves for the rest of my stuff too.

Try these guys for 19 0r 20" wbs http://www.woodchucklaminates.com they do uncuts that are pretty much exactly the same specs that you want Mark about 40" long and 10" wide with the thick plys. The wheel base is up to you(within a certain range anyway). I think a 10 pack of uncuts is like 300 bucks CDN so that's not much in USD. You could have them screened and cut too but uncuts are way cheaper.

the shape you diagrammed would work well.

Hey Tom,
I'd be happy to do those for you, but I'm not getting into 3 or more color screening. Too much work for my one man machine to handle. I'll do any shape, but need to stick to one-two color graphics for screening. get ahold of me if you're interested in this.
