As an aside, I toasted you TGM @ Taco (H)Bell last night - w/ a Mountain Dew Baja Blast. The food was nasty... |

But their food is totally different. Unless Hardees has changed since I last ate there 10 years ago. |

Lush--Did you order the Choco Taco? It's far and away the best thing on the menu.
Lance--There's some weird symbiotic relationship between Hardee's and Carl's Jr. All of the Hardee's in my area are the exact same as they've always been, but they're now Carl's Jr. Nothing has changed but the sign out front. However, there are still Hardee's elsewhere. I think it's some sort of geographic thing, but I'm not really sure...
They're affiliated somehow, that's all I can say for certain. |

Unlike TGM, I still cannot forgive Hardee's for the black and white "testimonial" ads. Fuck them.
"It's the only way I can get enough meat, man..."
"I see an ad for a, what do you call it? A...Ah...thickburger?"
"Angus is just another name for meat. Isn't it?"
Oh, Allah, right now I pray for your cleansing rain of fire!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

no, no choco taco. just a grande soft taco off the cheapo menu, and a chix quesadllia and crunchy taco for the Betty's. oh, and some chips w/ fake liquid cheese.
I did get to tell the Betty's that on the same site as the restaurant, when I was a kid, was a gas station - then they built the restaurant, which was a Judy's Hamburger's (Wendy's copy), then a Bojangles chicken (which I worked at for a week in high school), now a Taco Hell/Pizza Slut combo...with the help standing outside shooting the shit and smoking. They seemed to enjoy the local history and the self service drink machine. |

Lush--Fix that next time around. Make sure it's in a separate bag though, on the off chance that the rest of your food is actually hot, you don't want it to melt.
Zod--It was a real dilemma, but the raw appeal of the Monster Thickburger made me decide that enough was enough, and that since the testimonials had been gone for a while, it would be okay to test the waters. This Breakfast Burger just seals the deal.
My Subway jihad is still in full swing though. |
