Another stupid question from the man himself. Ironing oil

Ironing oil based ink on my shirt melts the ink? I ironed and it kind of smeared and left a lot of ink on the iron itself?

Is this how it will always be? Did I cure it wrong or you just can't ever iron a shirt you've screened? Cheap ink?

Thanks, I am just curious about the ups and downs of pressing your own designs and professionally pressed shirts can be ironed.
