those graphics are way different from what i remember...what year are those? The acmes i skated were around 90-92....they had a more pop art feel like old weathered signs from teh 50's..and def. wider...hmm, well tell me what y a think

Several of my last few boards have been Acme blanks. I love 'em. Jim does some really cool, unique shapes, if you're lucky enough to stumble upon them, but most are the standard-issue shapes. I have a few friends that work there, so they look out for me, and score me a deck or two if they come across a run of unique shapes. Plus it only costs me $10 or $15.
Any fucking guy who not only makes his own decks, but mills his own wood right here in the US of A is awesome. Especially when you can occasionally see him riding the SoCal parks. Dude should pretty much be given credit for almost single-handedly bringing about the construction of the future park in Costa Mesa too. |
